小时候从上学就开始接触阅读一些国外名著以及一些文章或片段，小学，初中，高中……从未间断过。几乎每个人都能脱口说出几本自己阅读过喜欢的外国名著。
当时，娱乐方式有限，能接触的国外书籍非常有限，所以当时课本上的几乎所有相关知识老师都要求了解背诵。因为反复诵读，有些已经深深烙印在脑海中挂在嘴皮上了，偶尔想起还能下意识地张口说出来。陀思妥耶夫斯基，大家还记得是谁吗？ 阿列克谢·马克斯莫维奇彼什科夫斯基，大家应该还有印象吧，还记得是什么意思吗？！还有英语课文Long long ago，there was a war between the birds and animals.……

out of 通常有两个意思，“没有⋯⋯”或“出自⋯⋯”，之后接宾语，形成许多重要的短语。例如：
I did that out of curiosity. （out of 表“出自”）

单词背了又忘，英文总是学不好该怎么办？一位来自江苏南京的妈妈说：没先想过这个问题，题目做再多都没用
这位南京的妈妈说：大多数孩子，都习惯从0开始慢慢啃单词书。但这可能会造成一个问题：单词一个一个记，好像学会了但是题目却没遇到，要不然就是只记得背过根本不记得意思，反复几次后，挫败感油然而生——造成好像背了很多单词，但是成绩没有提升，对于整个英文能力帮助好像不大……
最好的学习建议是——“要擅长一件事情，最快的方式就是直接去做”。
想考好某个测验，就直接拿出真题或模拟题来做；想听力全对，就直接听同等难度的内容。学习的同时一定要熟悉考试方式，从题目累积单词量，甚至可以观察整体考卷出题方向，熟悉最常出现的考法。
更重要的是，通过题目积累的单词，最能记住各种意思和用法。再加上熟悉考试方向，一套英语考试题，扣10分以内只是正常水平发挥。
单词其实不需要死记硬背单词，注重词汇背后的逻辑理解，词汇量提升的同时，英语兴趣和能力也提升。

说说英语中的“power, force, strength, right, energy, might, vigor”（上）
这几个单词都有“力，力量”的含义，但具体所指有所不同，下面我们依次道来。
1.“power”是表示力量的最普通的用词，泛指一切力量，能力，实力, 权力，智力，影响力等，如The National People's Congress has the power of legislation(有立法的权力).
The engine power of the limousine(豪华轿车的发动机功率) is 280KW.
The United States is the most powerful country(最有实力的国家) on the globe.
The Republicans are hoping to return to power（希望重掌政权） in 2024.
Mary lost the power of reading (丧失了阅读的能力)after a terrible accident two years ago.
Although he retired twelve years ago due to occupational injuries, the former official still has the power to help his son find a good job(依然有帮助他的儿子找到一份好工作的影响力).
2.“Strength”意为“体力；实力；毅力；长处”，如China's overall national strength has greatly improved(中国的综合国力获得了巨大的提升) in the past four decades.
In front of the Chinese side, the US doesn't have the qualification to say that it wants to speak to China from a position of strength(在中国面前，美国没有资格说它想从实力的地位出发同中国谈话).
The old man needs to have a rest to regain strength(需要休息一下以恢复体力).
We will keep on struggling for gender equality, drawing strength from the courage of other feminists(我们应该从其他女权运动者的勇气中汲取力量，继续奋斗争取性别平等).
As a team leader, you should know the strengths and weaknesses of different team members(应当了解小组内不同成员的优势和短板).
3.“right”意为“权利”，如Everyone has a right to education(受教育是每个人的权利).
You have no right to do that(你没有权利这样做).
